Thunderheist will finally release their self-titled debut album on March 31, 2009 via Big Dada Records. Big Dada is home to other like-minded elecro artists such as Spank Rock and Diplo.
We’ve yet to get a taste of this upcoming effort by the Toronto/Montreal duo but the press release says: “Mashing up the minimalism of Detroit techno, the luxuriousness of Moroder-inspired disco and blaring, synth-heavy booty beats with their m.o. of "when you come to the show, someone's getting pregnant," Thunderheist more than deliver on the promise of the early demos that have been floating around the internet for months now.”
The lead single will be the first track on the album, the infectious "Sweet 16." Two other singles were released way before the album was recorded and both have found their way on to the album. The two previous singles were "Bubblegum" and "Jerk It."
