Kelly Clarkson Return's With New Single

Kelly Clarkson is set to release her lead single from her fifth studio album, 'Stronger' which is to be released on October 25, 2011.

The first single, 'Mr. Know It All' will be sent to radio on August 30 while iTunes will receive it on September 5. The music video will premiere in mid-September.

This will be the first single from her since 'Already Gone' in 2009.

Katy Perry Ties Jackson's Record

Katy Perry becomes the first woman, and second artist overall following Michael Jackson, in the 53-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to send five songs from an album to #1, as 'Last Friday Night (TGIF)' becomes the fifth chart leader from her sophomore release, 'Teenage Dream.'

The historic Hot 100 achievement follows the album's prior #1s 'California Gurls' (featuring Snoop Dogg), 'Teenage Dream,' 'Firework,' 'ET' (featuring Kanye West).

While Perry is the first woman to achieve the honor, she is the second artist to manage the feat after Jackson. Jackson sent five songs to #1 from his 1987 album, 'Bad.' 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You,' 'Bad,' 'The Way You Make Me Feel,' 'Man In The Mirror' and 'Dirty Diana.'

Additionally highlighting Perry's stretch of dominance, she has inhibited the Hot 100's top 10 for an unprecedented 66 consecutive weeks.

GaGa 2 Release 'You and I'

Lady GaGa is set to release her fourth official single in support of her third studio album, 'Born This Way.'

'You And I' which was written by GaGa and produced by Robert 'Mutt' Lange and samples Queen's 'We Will Rock You.' The official radio add won't be until August 23, but it is already being played on most radio stations. The music video was shot in early July and will premiere in early September.

I personally like this track but do not feel it is worthy of a single release. However there are rumors that she will release at least nine singles from this album so there are still five tracks still to be released. The other five tracks I am hoping for are in this order:

06 - Bloody Mary - February 2012
07 - Heavy Metal Lover - May 2012
08 - Government Hooker - July 2012
09 - Electric Chapel - October 2012

'Transformers' & 'Potter' Hit Milestones

'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' joined 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' in the $1 billion worldwide club. This marked the first time in history that three movies from the same year, much less the same season, all reached that mark.

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' also hit a major worldwide milestone: with $1,038 billion it passed 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' $1,033 billion to become the highest-grossing movie of 2011.

It now ranks sixth on the all-time chart, and it looks guaranteed to pass 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King's' $1.119 billion by the end of the weekend to move up to third place.

It's foreign-only total rose to $713.2 million, making it the fifth movie ever to earn over $700 million overseas.

Here are the Top 10 biggest grossing movies of all time:

10 - The Dark Knight - $1,001.9 billion
09 - Transformers: Dark of the Moon - $1,016.5 billion
08 - Alice in Wonderland - $1,024.3 billion
07 - Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - $1,033.7 billion
06 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - $1,038.2 billion
05 - Toy Story 3 - $1,063.2 billion
04 - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - $1,066.2 billion
03 - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - $1,119.1 billion
02 - Titanic - $1,843.2 billion
01 - Avatar - $2,782.3 billion

'Desperate Housewives' 2 End in 2012

ABC's 'Desperate Housewives' will end its eight-year run in May 2012. The network is expected to make it official on Sunday, August 7, when it meets with the nation's TV critics.

This comes as no shock for many. The viewership has decreased in the past three years, with only about half of households tuning in. The first four seasons averaged 18-20 million people, the past three have sunk down between 9-11 million. It also doesn't help that the four main actresses, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria were just given a salary bump to about $500,000 an episode which is about $11-13 million a year per actress.

The show creator, Marc Cherry has begun to focus on ABC's future with other shows currently in production including a pilot called 'Hallelujah.' Cherry has stepped down as executive producer for this eight and final season.

I am still not 100 percent certain this will be the end for Wisteria Lane. I feel it is still to early to announce this as the Fall/mid season pilots for ABC's upcoming dramas haven't been shown yet. We have no idea how these new dramas will rate or if their will be interest from the viewers to keep them on the air. I feel that this is a ploy to bring the viewership back up, and if the new dramas fizzle, they will bring DH back for a final ninth season. The four main actresses are already contracted for a ninth season anyway.

Bjork 2 Release 'Biophilia'

Bjork is set to release her seventh studio album, 'Biophilia' on September 27, 2011.

The album is partly recorded on an iPad and will be released in the form of a series of apps as well as a standard CD release. 'Biophilia' will be the worlds 'first app album' in collaboration with Apple.

Bjork has described the project as a multimedia collection encompassing music, apps, internet, installions and live shows. She will release three promo singles/apps to iTunes in support of the album release. The first promo single, 'Cosmogony' was released on July 19, 'Virus' will be released on August 9 and the final promo single 'Moon' will be released on September 6.
