Santigold Is A 'Keeper'

Santigold is ready to release her second official single from her sophomore album, 'Master of My Make-Believe.'


'The Keepers' will follow the lead single, 'Disparate Youth' and two promo singles, 'Big Mouth and 'Go!' featuring Karen O.


'The Keepers' will be sent to radio in mid-June and the music video will follow in early July. Santigold just finished shooting the video this past weekend. 


I quite enjoy this track but I never saw it as a single. I hope she releases at least two more singles and they should be either, 'Fame,' 'Look At These Hoes' or 'This Isn't Our Parade.'

Santigold Is A 'Disparate Youth'

Santigold is set to release her lead single from her sophomore release, 'Master of My Make Believe.'

The official first single, 'Disparate Youth' will be sent to alternative radio on March 30. The music video premiered two weeks ago, ahead of schedule. Santigold released a promo single, 'Big Mouth' earlier this year but insisted it was just promo.

'Master of My Make Believe' will be released on April 24 in the UK and May 1 in North America.

Santigold Releases 'Master' Track Listing

Santigold is set to release her sophomore album, 'Master of My Make Believe' on Apil 24 in the UK and a week later on May 1st 2012 in North America.


'Master of My Make Believe' will include the previous released singles, 'Big Mouth,' 'Disparate Youth' and 'Go' featuring Karen O which was previously released back in April 2011. 


The album will feature production from the usual people including Switch, John Hill and Diplo as well as new producers, Ricky Blaze, Q-Tip and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Santigold Finally Releases New Single

Santigold is set to release her sophomore album, 'Master of My Make Believe' in early Spring.


The lead single, 'Big Mouth' was released today on her official website. The music video is also available today. The single is free right now on her website. 


There is still no official album release date yet but at least we have a new single. I hope the new album features the promo single 'Go' featuring Karen O from last year. 

Madonna & Santigold Release Album Titles

Madonna and Santigold (two of my favourites) have finally announced the official titles for their new albums. Coincidently both Madonna and Santigold released their last studio albums in April 2008.


Madonna announced earlier today that her twelfth studio album will be titled, 'M.D.N.A.' The album title is a pseudo-blend of Madonna as well as a play on words for the drug Ecstasy 'M.D.M.A.' The first single, 'Gimme All Your Lovin' which features Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. will be released the week of the Super Bowl, on February 7. Her last studio album, 'Hard Candy' was released back in April 2008. There still is no official release date however March 27 seems likely.


Santigold announced this evening that her sophomore album will be titled, 'Master of My Make Believe.'  There still is no release date or first single announcement but the album should be released in early April with a single in March. Back in June 2011 she said that she was "putting the finising touches on the new album," so hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer. A track was released early last year titled, 'Go' featuring Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and hopefully will be included on the new album. Her debut self-titled album was released back in April 2008.

Santigold is Finally Set to Release New Single

Santigold is finally set to release a brand new single after nearly three years. Her debut studio album, 'Santogold' was released back in April 2008. 


Santigold has decided on a fantastic lead single, 'Go' which features the brilliant Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. 'Go' will be released to radio in May and a music video will follow in late May.

Santigold Working on Second Album

Santigold has started work on the follow-up to her 2008 self-titled debut album with producer Pharrell Williams.

The singer told NYLON that she had enlisted Williams as well as Diplo and Switch, who worked on her debut, and rap/dance outfit Spank Rock on production duties on the album.

She explained that she plans to begin the proper recording process of the album in August, although she had already laid down a few "bucket"-related ideas with Williams.

It better be as amazing as her debut, I don't want her to get all hip hop on us!

Santogold Continues "Goldrush" Tour

Santogold went on her first headlining tour back in September 2008. It was titled "The Goldrush Tour" and it was amazing.

Well, I saw her on September 24, 2008 when she came to the Guvernment. She has been touring Europe all Winter and is now ready to return to North America.

She kicks off her 2009 "Goldrush Tour" on May 21 in San Francisco and will end in Hollywood on June 21. The lone Canadian date will be in Toronto on June 3, 2009 at the Phoenix.

The upcoming tour will see Santi performing with a full band and dancers for the first time in North America.

Trouble Andrew, who collaborated with Santigold on the track ‘I’m A Lady’, will support her on the outing, as will singer/MC Amanda Blank.
