Marilyn Manson is not quite ready to release his eighth studio album but promises it will be out in 2009.
The follow-up to 2007's gory "Eat Me Drink Me" will be titled "The High End Of Low" and is still in the mixing stages. The singer explained that the title referred to “a self-described state of being that I’m in. You’re going to be fucking freaked. It’s the shit”.
The lead single will be a nine-minute track which he describes as "Severely sadistic. Basically it's murder, sex, death, the end.” The single will be called "I Want To Kill You Like They Do In The Movies" and will be released sometime in summer 2009.
