'The Walking Dead' Breaks Cable Record

Sunday night's premiere of 'The Walking Dead' scored a 3.8 national adults 18-49 rating (up from last year's series premiere 2.7) and 7.3 million viewers for the 9-10:30pm telecast.

'Dead' delievered the strongest telecast for any drama in basic cable history against key demos. Season two premiere delievered more adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 than any other basic cable drama in television history.

This show just might be the nail in the coffin for regular shows that air on Sunday. If it wasn't bad enough to have 'Breaking Bad,' 'Dexter' and 'Homeland' taking viewers away now we have this behemoth. Good luck, ABC, FOX, NBC and CBS.

Here is the episode breakdown of 'The Walking Dead':
Season One:
01 - Days Gone Bye - 5.35 million
02 - Guts - 4.71 million
03 - Tell it to the Frogs - 5.07 million
04 - Vatos - 4.75 million
05 - Wildfire - 5.56 million
06 - TS-19 - 5.97 million

Season Two:
01 - What Lies Ahead - 7.30 million
