The NBC comedy, 'Whitney' starring Whitney Cummings has been picked up for a full season.
On October 4, NBC gave 'Whitney' the 'back 9' bringing the first season from 13 episodes to a full season 22 episodes. This comes as no surprise considering its one of NBC's biggest freshman comedies of the 2011/2012 season.
Here is a breakdown of the already aired episodes:
01 - Pilot - 4.0 rating - 6.70 million viewers
02 - First Date - 2.5 rating - 5.40 million viewers
We will find out if this decision was done too quick. There are still 20 episodes left of the season. Hopefully the ratings and viewership stabilizes. Seems a bit quick to pickup a full season of a show with only two episodes aired.
