ABC has renewed its veteran medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy' starring Ellen Pompeo and Sandra Oh for a ninth season.
'Grey's Anatomy' has been a stand out hit for ABC, it's season premiere was watched by over 10 million
viewers. Since its premiere in September 'Grey's Anatomy' has been able to keep a steady
eight-nine million viewers. With the series finale of 'Desperate Housewives' this weekend, 'Grey's Anatomy' has the distinction of being ABC's longest running TV series currently on the air.
Here is the break down of the last five aired episodes:
Episode 19 - Support System - April 12 - 8.85 million viewers
Episode 20 - The Girl With No Name - April 19- 9.82 million viewers
Episode 21 - Moment of Truth - April 26 - 9.45 million viewers
Episode 22 - Let the Bad Times Roll - May 3 - 9.24 million viewers
Episode 23 - Migration - May 10 - 9.82 million viewers
The season finale will air this Thursday, May 17th..
