NBC Renew 'The Office' For 9th Season

NBC has renewed its long-running comedy 'The Office' starring Ed Helms and Jenna Fischer for a ninth season.

'The Office' has been a solid hit for NBC, it's season premiere was watched by over seven million 

viewers. Since its premiere in September, 'The Office' has been able to keep a steady four million 

viewers. The series was renewed for a full 22 episode order. If NBC gives it an additional two episodes 'The Office' will have a total of 200 episodes by the end of season nine.

Here is the break down of the last five aired episodes:

Episode 20 - Welcome Party - April 12 - 4.39 million viewers

Episode 21 - Angry Andy - April 19 - 4.35 million viewers

Episode 22 - Fundrasier - April 26 - 4.17 million viewers

Episode 23 - Turf War - May 3 - 4.44 million viewers

Episode 24 - Free Family Portrait Studio - May 10 - 4.49 million viewers
