Lipstick Jungle Gets The Axe

NBC has pulled the plug on returning sophomore series "Lipstick Jungle."

The cancellation come after the tv show dropped to new ratings lows in recent weeks, "Jungle" falling to a 1.2 (3.3 million viewers) on Friday.

Although the "Jungle" number was an improvement on the previous week, the show's ratings have been below the line for a while and sunk into the red zone after being moved to Fridays.

NBC's expectation for the return of "Jungle" was modest, "Lipstick" has shot all 13 of its initial order for season two.

Let's hope NBC airs the rest of them and also let's hope that another network picks up the show and helps give new life to actually pretty good drama. ABC picked up "Scrubs" from NBC, why not "Lipstick Jungle."
