Mariah's "Love Songs" Now "The Ballads"

Earlier this month I spoke about Mariah Carey releasing an album containing all her biggest ballads from the 1990s. It was to be entitled "Love Songs" and to be released on January 20, 2009.

Well those plans were scrapped and it has been pushed forward to October 20, 2008 and will now be called "The Ballads".

The reason for the rush release is because her latest album "E=MC2" has not done as well as expected and they have decided not to release "Migrate" anymore. It was to be released at the end of September 2008 but they are done with "E=MC2". Now with a big window open for Fall 2008 why not release the Ballads album now so it can compete for Christmas. This album will most likely do very well because everyone loves Mariah Carey's ballads from the 1990s and now they are all on one CD, a perfect Christmas present!

Here is the official tracklisting for "The Ballads":
