Mariah Carey will release a best of collection simply titled "Love Songs" containing all of most loved ballads, such as Madonna did in 1995 when she released "Something To Remember". The set will be released on January 20, 2009 in time for Valentine's Day.
The album will feature many of Carey's best known hits, since many of them deal with relationships and love. Only singles released while Carey was still with Columbia Records, meaning singles from her first album through her sixth one will be part of the compilation including hits from albums Mariah Carey, Emotions, Music Box, Daydream, Butterfly and Rainbow.
All the songs that was included in the tracklist have the participation of Carey in the writing or the producing process, the songs that didn't write by her are covers, however she co-produced that songs.
