Britney's 'Womanizer' Delayed One Week

Britney Spears brand new single 'Womanizer' from her sixth studio album 'Cicrus' was to be released to radio today, September 22, 2008 but has since been delayed one week. It will not be allowed on radio until September 29, 2008.

On Monday at 7:35 am the new single 'womanizer' was to premiere on North American radio, That was the plan! But shortly before the worldwide premiere on radio, SonyBMG called the radio stations and stopped the single from being played. Britney Spears is allegedly still in the studio finishing up some last minute touches on the track.

SonyBMG are blaming the "demo leak" of the single by a radio station on Friday as well as a deadline not being met by the producers of the track. Currently media does not have access to the single because the single needs some more mixing and editing.

I think the reason it has been delayed is because the track sucks and they realized that this may be Britney's last chance to redeem herself, so they need a really kick ass single.

Here are the release dates for "Womanizer":

September 29 - Radio Release
October 7 - Digital Release
October 20 - Video Release
