'Blackout' Has Performed Well Without Promotion
Britney Spears 5th studio album 'Blackout' has done quite well even without any real promotion or support from her record label and radio.
In the US, “Blackout” has sold 861,000 albums according to Nielsen SoundScan. Additionally, Spears has sold 3.1 million digital downloads of the songs and remixes from the “Blackout” album. Since the release of 'Blackout' back in October 2007 the album has sold 4 million in the US alone.
The album has continued to sell consistently even with the album finished and no more singles. It has so far sold over 3,500,000 copies worldwide.
All in all, 'Blackout' including, the album, singles and remixes have sold approximately 7.5 Million copies.
