ABC Renews 'Revenge'

ABC has renewed its heavily-serialized drama series, 'Revenge' starring Emily Van Camp and Madeline Stowe for a third season.

The second season premiered to nearly 10 million viewers which is great for a drama series on ABC. However, the series has been hovering around the five-six million mark for the entire season. One of the main reasons for the dive in viewership is ABC's decision to air it against The Academy Awards and the Grammys and taking long breaks between new episodes. For a show that is so heavily serialized it is hard to keep momentum when viewers tune in to a new episode and then find out the next episode is four weeks away.

Here is a list of the last-five aired episodes:
16 - Illumination - March 17 - 6.57 million viewers
17 - Victory - March 24 - 6.31 million viewers
18 - Masquerade - March 31 - 5.49 million viewers
19 - Identity - April 28 - 6.05 million viewers
20 - Engagement - May 5 - 6.28 million viewers

The season two finale will air tomorrow night with two back-to-back episodes. No word on how many episodes have been ordered by the usual 22 seems accurate.
