ABC Cancelled Fan-Favourite 'Happy Endings'

ABC has cancelled its fan-favourite comedy series, 'Happy Endings' starring Elisha Cuthbert and Eliza Coupe after three seasons.

The third season premiered to over five million viewers which is great for a series on ABC. However, the series started losing viewership in the Fall because it was competing against, FOX's 'The Mindy Project' and NBC' 'The New Normal' where it dropped to four million viewers. ABC decided to move it to Sundays at 10pm where it did even worse and dropped to three million. The network then decided to put it on hiatus in January and bring it back at the end of March on Friday nights at 9pm where it dropped to two million viewers.

No wonder viewership dropped throughtout the season, it was aired in four different timeslots on three different days.  It seems as if ABC gave 'Happy Endings' the same awful treatment as they gave 'Cougar Town.' Hopefully a cable channel will pick the series up and continue the show.

Here is a list of the last-five aired episodes:
19 - The Storm Before the Calm - April 12 - 2.08 million viewers
20 - The Ballad of Lon Sarofsky - April 29 - 2.19 million viewers
21 - Un-Sabotagable - April 29 - 1.73 million viewers
22 - Deuce Babylove 2: Electric Babydeuce - May 3 - 2.68 million viewers
23 - Brothas and Sisters - May 3 - 2.17 million viewers

Very surprised that ABC cancelled the series,  I could have seen ABC make a two hour comedy block on Fridays consisting of, 'Last Man Standing,' 'Malibu Country,' 'Suburgatory' and 'Happy Endings.'
