NBC Renews Its 'Revolution'

NBC has renewed its freshman drama, 'Revolution' starring  Billy Burke and Elizabeth Mitchell for a second season.

The series premiered to over 11 million viewers which is huge for NBC, most of its series have dropped to embarassing numbers over the last couple TV seasons.  NBC gambled with this series when it decided to put it on a four month hiatus, to make room for 'Deception.' When it returned in March 2013 the viewership dropped to seven million and its most recent episode only had five million.  I am surprised NBC didn't wait until the finale to air before making the decision.

Here is a list of the last-five aired episodes:
10 - Nobody's Fault But Mine - November 26 - 8.54 million viewers
11 - The Stand - March 25 - 7.03 million viewers
12 - Ghosts - April 1 - 6.36 million viewers
13 - The Song Remains the Same - April 8 - 6.07 million viewers
14 - The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia - April 22 - 5.88 million viewers

The season finale will air on June 3, 2013. The second season will include 22 episodes.
