TNT Renews 'Falling Skies' For 3rd Season


TNT has renewed its post-apocalyptic drama 'Falling Skies' starring Noah Wyle and Will Patton for a third season.

'Falling Skies' has been a decent hit for TNT. The season two premiere was watched by over four million people which is a step down from the series premiere last June. The first four episodes have been hovering around 3.5-4 million viewers which is much lower than season one when it was getting over four million.

TNT has renewed the series for another 10 episodes bringing the total number of episodes to 30. 

Here is the break down of the already aired episodes:
Episode 01 - Worlds Apart - June 17 - 4.46 million viewers
Episode 02 - Shall We Gather at the River - June 17 - 4.46 million viewers
Episode 03 - Compass - June 24 - 3.81 million viewers
Episode 04 - Young Bloods - July 1 - 3.39 million viewers
Episode 05 - Love and Other Acts of Courage - July 8 - 3.64 million viewers

The season finale, 'A More Perfect Union' will air on August 12, 2012.
