HBO Renewed 'Eastbound & Down'

HBO has renewed its comedy 'Eastbound & Down' starring Danny McBride and Steve Little for a fourth season.

'Eastbound & Down' has been an OK hit for HBO. The season three premiere was watched by only one million people when including DVR, HBO on Demand and HBO GO. The third season have been hovering around 500 thousand viewers which is on par with 'Enlightened' which is another HBO series struggling to find an audience.

HBO has renewed the series but has not announced how many episodes have been ordered. Over the past three seasons only 21 episodes have been made.

Many assumed 'Eastbound & Down' was canceled because the series wrapped its third season back in April 2012. HBO canceled a handful of comedies including, 'Hung,' 'How to Make it in America' and 'Bored to Death' earlier this year and thought this would be included in the cancelations.
