'Nurse Jackie' Renewed By Showtime

Showtime has renewed its medical dramedy 'Nurse Jackie' starring Edie Falco and Eve Best for a fifth season.

'Nurse Jackie' has been a pretty good hit for Showtime, it's fourth season premiere was watched by over 650 thousand viewers, which is up from 610 thousand from the season three premiere. This is currently one of Showtime's biggest dramedy's currently on the air.

As part of the season five renewal Showtime had the co-creators Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem step down as executive producers and showrunners and has hired Clyde Phillips from 'Dexter' to take over.
