Mariah Carey is set to release a career spanning ballads album simply titled "The Ballads" on January 20, 2009.
In support of the album Mariah has re-recordered her smash 1992 single "Hero." She has also re-recorded the music video. The video was released on January 5, 2009. "Hero 2009" Hits radio on January 8, 2009.
