The CW has renewed the struggling low-rated freshman drama, 'The Carries Diaries' for a second season.
The series premiered to almost two million viewers which is is awful for a series on a major network. The remaining episodes dropped below a million viewers and was still renewed. I'm guessing The CW has plans for this series that no one else knows.
Here is a list of the last-five aired episodes:
09 - The Great Unknown - March 11 - 1.03 million viewers
10 - The Long and Winding Road Not Taken - March 18 - 0.99 million viewers
11 - Identity Crisis - March 25 - 0.83 million viewers
12 - A First Time For Everything - April 1 - 0.87 million viewers
13 - Kiss Yesterday Goodbye - April 8 - 1.00 million viewers
This is The CW's biggest 'huh moment' this season. Last year The CW cancelled both 'Ringer' and 'The Secret Circle' and both drew bigger ratings and viewership so it just doesn't make any sense.
