ABC has renewed its freshman drama series, 'Nashville' starring Connie Britton and Hayden Paneittere for a second season.
The series premiered to nearly nine million viewers which is great for a drama series on ABC. However, the series has been hovering around the five-six million mark for the entire season. One major reason ABC decided to renew it even though its struggling is because of the critical acclaim. Both Connie Britton and Hayden Paneittere were nominated for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress at the 2013 Golden Globes.
Here is a list of the last-five aired episodes:
15 - When You're Tired of Breaking Other Hearts - March 27 - 5.18 million viewers
16 - I Saw the Light - April 3 - 5.54 million viewers
17 - My Heart Would Know - April 10 - 5.96 million viewers
18 - Take These Chains from my Heart - May 1 - 5.27 million viewers
19 - Why Don't You Love Me - May 8 - 5.38 million viewers
The season two finale will air on May 22, 2013. No word on how many episodes have been ordered yet but the usual 22 seems accurate. Also I am pretty sure the show will move nights. I think Sundays at 10pm would be a perfect fit with 'Once Upon a Time, ' and 'Revenge.'
