Lykke Li 2 Release 'Sadness is a Blessing'

Lykke Li is set to release her third single from her sophomore album, 'Wounded Rhymes.'


'Sadness is a Blessing' has been chosen and is perfect. It's a fan-favourite and a favourite of mine. The single will go to UK radio on June 6. While the music video leaked in early May. The EP which will included remixes will be released in mid-June.


I have loved all three single choices, I hope she decides to release at least two more singles. I would hope for both 'Rich Kids Blues' and 'Youth Knows No Pain.'

Lykke Li 2 Release 'I Follow Rivers'

Lykke Li is set to release her second single off her sophomore album, 'Wounded Rhymes' which will be released on February 22 on the UK and March 1 in North America.


The second single, 'I Follow Rivers' will be released to radio on January 22, while the music video will premiere in late February. 'I Follow Rivers' follows the awesome 'Get Some' which is one of my favourite tracks out right now.

Lykke Li Releases 'Wounded Rhymes' Track Listing

Lykke Li will release her sophomore album, 'Wounded Rhymes' on February 28 in the UK and March 1, 2011 in North America.


'Wounded Rhymes' follows her brilliant debut album, 'Youth Novels' which was released back in 2008. The album will feature the lead single, 'Get Some' which is starting to pick up steam in the UK.

If this album is anything like 'Youth Novels' I will be in for a treat! Her debut is still a classic in my collection.

Lykke Li Wants To 'Get Some'

Lykke Li is finally ready to release her lead single from her still untitled sophomore album which will be released in early 2011.


'Get Some' will be released to radio in early November while the official music video will follow in late November. A viral-graphic video was released this past week but no worries, she will be filming a real video next month.


'Get Some' is a departure from her previous effort, 'Youth Novels.' It has more rock influences than her folk inspired debut. 

Lykke Li 2 Release "Possibility"

Lykke Li is set to release the second official single off the soundtrack, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

"Possibility" is was written and featured on the soundtrack and will serve as the next single once "Meet Me at the Equinox" by Death Cab For Cutie looses steam.

"Possibility" will be released on January 5, 2010. The music video will feature clips from "New Moon" and will be released in mid-January.

Lykke Li Coming Full Circle With "Little Bit"

Lykke Li will come full circle when her fourth single, "Little Bit" is released in March 2009.

"Little Bit" was originally a promo single back in December 2007 to promote her debut album, "Youth Novels." Lykke Li has decided to release "Little Bit" as the fourth and final single. "Little Bit" will be sent to radio on March 10 and released digitally on March 17, 2009. The music video is set to premiere on April 2, 2009.

I have been very happy with all the single choices but there are so many more single-worty tracks on "Youth Novels" including, "Dance Dance Dance," "Let It Fall" and "Complaint Department."

Robyn, Lykke Li Guest on New Royksopp Album

Norwegian electronica duo Royksoop's first album in three-plus years, "Junior," will arrive March 23, 2009 internationally and the following day in the United States via Astralwerks.

"Every once in a while we surface to share our music and shed some light in an otherwise bleak reality," the group wrote on its Web site. "And that time is soon upon us, ladies & gents."

The follow-up to 2005's "The Understanding" features guest appearances from Robyn, Lykke Li, Anneli Drecker and the Knife's Karin Dreijer. First single/album opener "Happy Up Here" will be available March 9, 2009.

"The Understanding" debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart and spawned the singles "Only This Moment" (No. 18 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play tally) and "What Else Is There?" (No. 8 on Billboard's Hot Dance Singles Sales chart).

Lykke Li 2 Release "Tonight" Next

Lykke Li is set to release her third official single, "Tonight" after the success of "I'm Good, I'm Gone" and "Breaking It Up."

"Tonight" will be released to radio on November 20, 2008. It will be released digitally on November 24 and the music video is set to premiere the first week of December.

"Tonight" will be a digital download for the UK because it was not included on the album. It was only released on the North American release.

Lykke Li 2 Release 'Breaking It Up'

Lykke Li released her debut album 'Youth Novels' back in Swedan on January 30, 2008 and it was finally released in North America on June 9, 2008.

The first single 'Little Bit' was released in December 2007 and her second, 'I'm Good I'm Gone' was released in April 2008.

Li has decided on the track 'Breaking It Up' as the second single and it will be released on August 12, 2008. The video for the track was released today, August 1, 2008.

Lykke Li's 'Youth Novels' Coming 2 Canada

Lykke Li's debut album 'Youth Novels' was released in Swedan on January 30, 2008 and on June 6, 2008 in the UK. The first single 'Little Bit' was released in January and the second single 'Im Good Im Gone' was released in May 2008.

The North American release of the album will be out on September 9, 2008 and will be supported with the first single 'Little Bit'. The 'Little Bit EP' was released on June 28, 2008 and features remixes and tracks from 'Youth Novels'.

Lykke Li will be going across North America this Fall and will stop in Toronto on October 24, 2008 at The Mod Club.

Lykke Li is set to release her debut album, "Youth Novels" in North America this summer. It was originally released on January 30, 2008. The North American release date is June 6, 2008 and will include two extra tracks, "Tonight" and "Everybody But Me."

Lykke Li is set to release her debut single, "I'm Good I'm Gone" on March 12, 2008.

"I'm Good, I'm Gone" will be released to UK radio on March 12. It will be released digitally on March 18 and a music video is set to premiere on the 25th of March.

The debut single follows the promo single, "Little Bit" which was released in December 2007. "Youth Novels" the debut album was released on January 30, 2008.
