ABC has renewed its blockbuster comedy series, 'Modern Family' starring Julie Bowen and Ed O'Neill for a fifth season.
The fourth season premiered to over 14 million viewers which is fantastic for a comedy series, it is ABC's biggest comedy four years in a row. 'Modern Family' also has more viewership than any drama series currently on the network. The current season has been averaging between 9-12 million viewers which is still higher than every show on ABC.

18 - The Wow Factor - March 27 - 9.09 million viewers
19 - The Future Dunphys - April 3 - 10.88 million viewers
20 - Flip Flop - April 10 - 10.38 million viewers
21 - Career Day - May 1 - 9.64 million viewers
22 - My Hero - May 8 - 9.02 million viewers
The season two finale will air on May 22, 2013. No word on how many episodes have been ordered yet but the usual 24 seems accurate. The upcoming fifth season will see the series hit 100 episodes on its fourth episode.
