Showrime has renewed its critically-acclaimed drama, 'Shameless' starring Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy and Joan Cusask for a fourth season.
The third season premiered to an outstanding two million viewers, which is up significantly from the 1.5 million for the second season premiere and 98 thouand for the first. The season has been hovering around 1.3 and 2 million an episode. The drama is currently on par with Showtime's other two series, 'Homeland' and 'Dexter.'

Episode 01 - El Gran Canon - January 13 - 2.00 million viewers
Episode 02 - The American Dream - January 20 - 1.37 million viewers
Episode 03 - May I Trim Your Hedges? - January 27 - 1.99 million viewers
The 12-episode third season will wrap on April 7. The fourth season will premiere in January 2014 and will consist of 12 episodes, bringing its series total to 48 episodes.
