'The Annie Lennox Collection' will be the first official "Best Of" compilation of Annie Lennox. It will be released on September 15, 2008 and will contain 12 hits and 2 new songs, which Lennox recorded especially for this release "Shining Light" and "Pattern of My Life", a cover of Keane's rare b-side "Closer Now", in which "pattern of my life" is a lyric. The artwork was shot by rock singer Bryan Adams.

There will also be a CD/DVD edition of the album released on the same day including all her videos. The tracklist for the DVD will include almost all the above with the inclusion of videos for "Something So Right" and "Waiting In Vain" which were singles from her 'Medusa' album in 1995. The two new songs on the collection will not be supported with videos so they will not be on the DVD.
There is only one single that is not present on any part of the collection and that is the track 'Wonderful' which was released on her album 'Bare' in 2003.
