Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends

Coldplay are set to release their fourth album 'Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends' on June 17, 2008.

The first single 'Violet Hill' was released yesterday on their official website 'Coldplay.com'. It is a free download for the first week. It will be released officially on iTunes on May 6, 2008.

The official artwork for the album is gorgeous. The artwork features the classic painting Liberty Leading the People (La Liberté guidant le peuple) by French painter Eugène Delacroix commemorating the July Revolution of 1830. It is currently on display in The Louvre in Paris.

TV Shows on DVD Release Dates

Three of the top shows on Television will see DVD releases in September 2008. 'Ugly Betty', 'Desperate Housewives' and 'Grey's Anatomy' will all be released in the first two weeks of September.

4 Minutes = 1,000,000 in Digital Sales

Madonna's lead single '4 Minutes' from her 11th studio album 'Hard Candy' which was released today in stores has made another music record.

'4 Minutes' is only the second single in history to have digital sales exceeding one million units in 5 weeks. 'Umbrella' by Rihanna was the first to do so last year back in April 2007.

The single has been downloaded a total of 1,004,482 times in 5 weeks of release.

The second single 'Give It 2 Me' doesnt even have a radio/release date for another month. '4 Minutes' could be downloaded even more until then.

CDs, Posters, Prizes, Candy Galore

Today was an awesome day! Mikey won Mariah Carey's new cd 'E=MC2' off of Proud FM so I went to pick it up at Church and Wellesley. After than I went down to the HMV megastore and picked up Madonna's 'Hard Candy' and it came with a 17/11" poster and a a card with a lollipop! As well I also purchased Robyn's self-titled CD that finally made its way to North America after 3 years in its hometown of Swedan in 2005.

I finally have all 3 CDs that I have been waiting sooo patiently for! I am in love with all 3 of them!

Big Brother 9 Finale

Big Brother 9 finished sunday night as the final two Adam and Ryan tried to get votes from the jury of seven.

The jury of seven consisted of:

M.I.A. 4 Marc Jacobs Ads

The Marc Jacobs Ads featuring the one-and-only M.I.A. are now in magazines everywhere. I picked up the May 2008 Elle with Madonna on the cover and both ads were in the magazine.

At a recent Marc Jacobs fashion show M.I.A. stated that she is currently working on the follow-up to last years crazy-good 'Kala'. 'Kala' is one of the best albums of last year, I hope she releases at least one more single. So far 'Bird Flu', 'Boyz', 'Jimmy' and 'Paper Planes' have been released. I would love either 'Hussel' or 'World Town' to be next. The albums has so many amazing songs it's hard to choose.

Fergie 2 Re-release 'The Dutchess' Next Month

Fergie will re-release her debut solo album 'The Dutchess' on May 27, 2008. The album was released 19 months ago back on September 19, 2006 and has since had 7 singles. The album will re called 'The Dutchess Deluxe'.

Santogold: The Next Big Thing

Santi White goes by the stage name of 'Santogold'. She worked for Epic Records as an A&R representative before becoming a singer/songwriter. White is ready to release her debut album 'Santogold' this Tuesday, April 29, 2008 on Downtown Records.

The album features appearances or production work from Chuck Tree of Bad Brains, Cliffored "Moonie" Pusey of Steel Pulse, Diplo, Freq Nasty, M.I.A, Naeem Juwan of Spank Rock, Radioclit, Sinden, Switch, Trouble Andrew, and XXXchange. The album's first singles, "Creator" and "L.E.S. Artistes", were both well received. Rolling Stone, Spin, and BBC all named Santogold an artist to watch in 2008.

Santi has also toured with M.I.A. and Björk on her 'Volta Tour' this past year and worked with Lily Allen on her sophomore release to be out later this year. Most recently she co-wrote Ashlee Simpson latest single 'Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)' and the album track 'Ragdoll'.

The Pussycat Dolls presents: Girlicious has finally finished. The four girls were picked last night. The four girls were Tiffanie, Nichole, Natalie and Crystina.

I really like the final four girls in the group. Their first single is 'Like Me' and there are two songs on the radio and on the video networks. The second single is 'Stupid Shit'.
