CW Renews 'The Vampire Diaries'


The CW has renewed its supernatural vampire drama 'The Vampire Diaries' starring Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley for a fourth season.

This comes as no shock to anyone paying attention to the ratings and viewers. 'The Vampire Diaries' has been the standout hit hit for The CW, it's third season premiere was watched by over three million viewers. Since its premiere in late September 'The Vampire Diaries' has been able to keep a steady two-three million viewers each week which is great for a series on The CW. Most CW shows are trying to hang onto one million viewers.

Here is the break down of the last five aired episodes:
Episode 16 - 1912 - March 15 - 2.64 million viewers
Episode 17 - Break On Through - March 22 - 2.69 million viewers
Episode 18 - The Murder of One - March 29 - 2.44 million viewers
Episode 19 - Heart of Darkness - April 19 - 2.21 million viewers
Episode 20 - Do Not Go Gentle - April 26 - 2.22 million viewers
