'The Borgias' Renewed By Showtime

Showtime has renewed its historical fictional drama 'The Borgias' starring Jeremy Irons and Sean Harris for a third season.

'The Borgias' has been a pretty good hit for Showtime, it's second season premiere was watched by only 600 thousand viewers, which is almost half the audience the series premiere had with 1.6 million viewers. This is currently Showtime's lowest drama series currently on the air. The other two series currently on before 'The Borgias,' 'Nurse Jackie' and 'The Big C' have yet to be renewed but should follow shortly. 'The Borgias' and 'The Big C' are both underperforming while 'Nurse Jackie' is currently having a second wind.

Here is the break down of the already aired episodes:
Episode 01 - The Borgia Bull - April 8 - 0.61 million viewers
Episode 02 - Paolo - April 15 - 0.53 million viewers
Episode 03 - The Beautiful Deception - April 22 - 0.51 million viewers
Episode 04 - Stray Dogs - April 29 - 0.58 million viewers
