NBC has canceled three of its reality competitions, 'Fear Factor,' 'The Sing Off' and 'Minute to Win It.'
'Fear Factor' was originally canceled back in 2006 but was brought back in 2011. The season premiere was watched by over eight million viewers but over the course of six episodes it dropped down to three million.
'The Sing off' and 'Minute to Win It' were never big hits for NBC. Both shows were used to replace other canceled shows. Because both are reality competitions, they are much cheaper to produce than scripted series. This past season both 'The Sing Off' and 'Minute to Win It' both did worse than ever before which guaranteed its cancelation.
