FOX has officially canceled veteran medical drama 'House' starring Hugh Laurie.
The series has been in tough negotiations regarding this current eighth season for the last few months. This past season has seen a decent ratings drop and Hugh Laurie has spoken out about wrapping up the series soon.
The final nail-in-the-coffin was this past week's season premiere of 'The Voice.' With 'The Voice' premiering in the same timeslot it forced 'House' to drop to fourth place in the ratings, a spot unheard of considering when the season started it was in the first place.
This news also gives hope for other dramas on FOX including, 'Terra Nova,' 'Alcatraz' and 'Touch.'
Here is a breakdown of the past three episodes:
09 - Better Half - 8.76 million viewers
10 - Runaways - 8.73 million viewers
11 - Nobody's Fault - 7.09 million viewers
