NBC has canceled its low-rated freshman comedy, 'Animal Practice' starring Justin Kirk and Bobby Lee after five episodes.
'Animal Practice' premiered after the 2012 Summer Olympics on August 12 to huge ratings with almost 13 million people. When it premiered to in its home timeslot it dropped to five million and now after four episodes, three million.
The series has the distinction of being the first canceled comedy series of the 2012/2013 TV season.
Here is a list of the already-aired episodes:
01 - Pilot - August 12 - 12.80 million viewers
02 - Little Miss Can't Be Wrong - September 26 - 5.19 million viewers
03 - Clean Smelling Pirates - October 3 - 4.58 million viewers
04 - Dr. Yamamazing - October 10 - 3.80 million viewers
05 - Who's Afraid of Virginia Coleman? - October 17 - 3.85 million viewers
NBC will air three more episodes on October 24, October 31 and November 7. 'Whitney' will premiere in its timeslot on November 14 with its second season premiere.
