CBS has renewed its police procedural drama 'Blue Bloods' starring Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg for a third season.
CBS is ready to announce all their shows that will be renewed, 'Blue Bloods' is the first of many to come in the next week. 'Blue Bloods' has wrapped production on their sophomore season and will be airing its 18th episode on March 30, 2012.
'Blue Bloods' has done extremely well on Friday nights at 10pm. Most networks struggle on Friday nights because viewers are usually out and not at home watching TV. It's remarkable how 'Blue Bloods' airs at 10pm on Fridays and receives almost 12 million viewers and a 2.0 rating.

Episode 13 - Leap of Faith - February 10 - 11.82 million viewers
Episode 14 - Parenthood - February 17 - 10.81 million viewers
Episode 15 - The Life We Chose - February 24 - 11.35 million viewers
Episode 16 - Women with Guns - March 2 - 11.47 million viewers
Episode 17 - Reagan vs. Reagan - March 9 - 11.27 million viewers
