CBS has renewed its long-running police procedural, 'NCIS' starring Mark Harmon for an outstanding 11th season.
The season 10 premiere was watched by over 20 million viewers and is still holding as network TV's biggest drama series on the air in both viewers and ratings. This past month, episode 12 was watched by over 22 million and has become 'NCIS's most watched episode in its history, which is incredible for a show in its 10th year. Any network would kill to have a series go as long as 10 years let alone hit series high ratings and viewership.
Here is a list of the last-five aired episodes:
09 - Devil's Trifecta - December 11 - 17.65 million viewers
10 - You Better Watch Out - December 18 - 19.59 million viewers
11 - Shabbat Shalom - January 8 - 21.11 million viewers
12 - Shiva - January 15 - 22.86 million viewers (series high)
13 - Hit and Run - January 29 - 22.07 million viewers
No word on how many episodes will be ordered but the usual 24 seems accurate. The season finale will air in May 2013.
