'Wipeout' has been a steady performer for ABC. The current fifth season premiered in December 2011 and has stayed pretty consistent in the ratings department. ABC uses the series as fillers for cancelled TV series or summer programming. The sixth season will premiere in late 2012.
'Wipeout' wraps its current season in the next couple weeks before the Fall 2012 TV season begins with the series premiere of 'Last Resort.'
