Christina Aguilera is set to release her fourth studio album, "Light and Darkness" this fall. No official single choice has been made yet but the album will be released on September 18, 2009.
With this album Aguilera wanted to go in a completely opposite direction. She explains it as a very futuristic, robotic sound and computer-sounding vocals. She's experimenting with her voice in a way people have never heard before and Aguilera added "almost like a technical, computer-generated sound, which is different for me because I'm the type of vocalist that just belts.
She said she's diving deep into "electro in particular" and that's the reason why she's lined up a slew of dance-music artists to collaborate with including Goldfrapp and Ladytron.[5] With Ladytron she will work with a softer vocal sound and they songs will probably feature simpler melodies. Sia said there are also slow songs where her voice shows as before.
