HBO has renewed its megahit fantasy, Game of Thrones starring Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey for a fourth season after only one episode and two days.
The third season premiered to nearly 4.5 million viewers which is up from the three million for the season two premiere and four million for the finale. As of right now, Game of Thrones is still HBO's second biggest series, only behind True Blood. True Blood is currently ranging between 4.5-5 million viewers an episode. Game of Thrones could easily take over the top spot by the end of the season.
The third season will conclude with its tenth episode on June 9. The fourth season will explore roughly the second half of 'A Sword of Storms' the third novel in the epic series, 'A Song of Ice and Fire.' the fourth season could also include parts of both the fourth novel, 'A Feast For Crows' and fifth 'A Dance With Dragons' depending on how far along the producers get with the fourth season.
