TNT has renewed its medical drama 'Royal Pains' starring Mark Feuerstein and Campbell Scott for a fifth and six season. TNT gave the series an additional 26 episodes accounting for a 13-episode fifth and sixth season.
'Royal Pains' has been a steady performer for TNT. The fourth season premiered to just under four million viewers. Since its premiere in July, the series has been gaining viewership and with its summer finale it brought total viewership to over four million when you account for repeat viewings.
Here is a breakdown of the last five aired episodes:
Episode 10 - Who's Your Daddy? - August 22 - 3.91 million viewers
Episode 11 - Dancing with the Devil - August 29 - 3.78 million viewers
Episode 12 - Hurts Like a Mother - September 5 - 3.59 million viewers
Episode 13 - Something Fishy This Way Comes - September 12 - 3.74 million viewers
Episode 14 - Sand Legs - September 19 - 4.23 million viewers
The season will resume on December 16, 2012 for a two-hour season finale. The fifth and sixth seasons will premiere in the summer of 2013/2014.
