In May 2010, Elizabeth Perkins (Celia Hodes) announced that she will be leaving the series. Linda Hamilton will be joining the cast as Linda; along with her partner Fiona, Linda will help Nancy begin her dealings in Seattle. It has been confirmed that Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been cast in one episode in the upcoming season.
A teaser for the new season was released on June 3, 2010, depicting Nancy disposing of the croquet mallet and evading the police. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alanis Morissette will also be reprising their roles. Actor Richard Dreyfuss has signed on to appear in at least four episodes of the season.
I cannot wait. 'Weeds' is one of my most favourites. I am so glad to see there's still some life in the long-running series.
