Kelis is set to release her untitled 5th studio album in early 2010.
The lead single will be "Acapella" which she premiered on her official website today, November 25, 2009.
"Acapella" was produced by David Guetta and is her first official dance single. Kelis was interviewed late 2008 where she stated that her next album would be a dance album. Looks like she was speaking the truth. The first single is definitely not anything we've heard from Kelis before.
After splitting from Zomba Records in 2008 she stated she wanted to make music she was proud of and she will be leaving the R&B style for a more dancey vibe.
This month is actually her 10th anniversary in the music business. Her debut single, "Caught Out There" was a fierce song that featured her yelling and screaming and sounded like nothing else before. It was released in November 1999.
